HCX Board Member, Cybil Charlier will be a presenter for a workshop entitled “How Cultural Organizations and Educational Institutions Serve as Tools for Advocacy of Immigrant Populations.” This workshop will focus on how participants can become involved with immigrant communities and provide information on promoting advocacy through educational institutions and cultural organizations.
The daylong conference, sponsored by the Colin Powell Center and the New York City Department of Education, aims to embrace not only academics and teachers, but also of families, advocates, and immigrant and U.S.-born community members alike.
