Haiti: Post-Disaster Reconstruction, Sustainability and Development Conference

How can universities engage with the development community to promote sustainability.

Come out for Haiti: Post-Disaster Reconstruction, Sustainability and Development Conference presented by Fordham University’s Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (GSAS)Social Tap, Inc. The Haiti Initiative (THI), and Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service (GSSS).

The interdisciplinary conference will explore how universities can engage with the development community in an effective way to promote sustainability with a case study of Haiti.

The conference features 3 panels which will discuss sustainable solutions for housing, agriculture and environmental issues, and women’s roles in shaping sustainable development solutions.There will be two available working group sessions for participants to participate in led by facilitators to encourage a continued dialogue in strategic areas of focus including environmental sustainability, economic development opportunities, educational, creative responses to disaster, food security, human rights, youth development and women’s role in development in Haiti.



Friday, 11/15 will be held from 6-8pm. One must register by 11/12.
