Haiti Cultural Exchange in collaboration with the Queens Public Library present KaNu Dance Theater’s Episodes of Haiti.
KaNu Dance Theater will perform Episodes of Haiti, a 3-section, full length program about Haiti’s culture, history and current situation through an exciting combination of poetry, live music, traditional Haitian folklore, and modern dance, with choreography by Jessica St. Vil.
KaNu Dance Theater began performing in 2003. It has appeared at Hofstra University, Brooklyn Museum, Barnard College, Columbia University, St. Francis College, the New York City French Institute, Henry Street Settlement Theater, Long Island’s African-American Museum and the Brooklyn Library among others.
