Ditmas Park 4 Haiti is a fundraiser for a microfinance project in Haiti, where a small amount of money can make a big improvement.
Join Friends of Cortelyou in a celebration of Haitian music, art, film, and food to raise money and awareness of the deep Haitian connections with our community here in Brooklyn. The microfinance project is approved by Haitian organizations Zafen and administered by Fonkoze.
From Friday September 10th ’til the Frolic (Sept. 12) we’ll have an Artwalk of displayed Haitian art throughout participating businesses on Cortelyou Road, a Film Night and Raffle of products, services, and meals from your favorite local restaurants, bars, and shops. The winners will be announced at the Frolic.
Friends of Cortelyou is working closely with Zafen (www.zafen.org), Fonkoze (www.fonkoze.org) and KDCK (Konbit for Developman Commune Kote de Fer) kdck.homestead.com. Sponsorship provided by 1000 Jobs for Haiti.
