Contemporary Photography Exhibition featuring Haiti-based artists, curated by HaitiXNY artist Maksaens Denis  May 31 – July 1

Selebrasyon! is New York City’s only festival dedicated to the promotion of the highest caliber film, dance, music, literature, and visual art of Haiti and its Diaspora. Haiti Cultural Exchange’s 3rd Biennial celebration will bring artists and diverse communities together to experience Haitian culture, its creative foundations, and its powerful legacy. This year, HCX is pleased to announce that seven Haiti-based photographers will be submitting their work for an outdoor exhibition as part of Selebrasyon! programming. Curated by Maksaens Denis, the participating artists are: Josué Azor, Edine Celestin, Noiredelatour, Sébastien Denis, Fabienne Douce, Pierre Michel Jean, and Georges Harry Rouzier.

Their work will be on view at the following Brooklyn Queens Land Trust Gardens from May 31 – July, 1, 2018. Open garden hours are varied; more details TBA.
